Puppet Playhouse -Summer special
Puppet Playhouse - Our Puppet Curriculum is an engaging four-day workshop, each day featuring a two-hour session. Kids will dive into crafting their own puppets, mastering puppetry techniques, rehearsing for a puppet show, and culminating in a performance on the final day at the NORTH FORK ART CENTER.
For Kids ages 6 to 12 years old.
Dates: August 26th, August 27th, August 28th 2-4PM and Thursday August 29th 2pm with final performance show at the North Fork Art Center at 3pm.
To book please select Monday August 26th and it will apply for the whole week.
***Please note that this workshops requires a minimum of six participants to proceed. In the event of failure to fill the class with six or more participants, the workshop will be canceled with 48 hours' notice and your ticket will be refunded. Thank you for your understanding.

Day 1-Monday August 26th

First Hour: We'll kick things off with an introduction to the world of puppetry. Kids will receive the script for the puppet show they'll perform, and they'll be given their roles.

Second Hour: Time to get crafty! This hour is dedicated to creating their very own puppets for the puppet performance.
Day 2- Tuesday August 27th

First Hour: Students will start with a warm-up session focused on essential puppet techniques, including how to effectively use puppet voices, project their voices, and synchronize mouth movements. They will also have the opportunity to complete any remaining props and accessories for their puppets.

Second Hour: With their puppets ready, students will begin rehearsing their lines, bringing their characters to life for the upcoming show.
Day 3-Wednesday August 28th

First Hour: The day starts with a warm-up focusing on puppet voice techniques and puppet dance to get into character. After warming up, students will practice their roles for the puppet show using their puppets.

Second Hour: Attention shifts to stagecraft as students learn and practice stage techniques to enhance their performance, ensuring they are ready to shine during the show.
Day 4-Thursday August 29th Performance Day!

First Hour and a Half: It's showtime! We'll start the day by heading to the North Fork Arts Center theater, where we'll have our final rehearsal to polish our performance.

Last Half Hour: The stage is set for our young puppeteers to shine as they perform their puppet show for an audience of parents and friends. Get ready for a spectacular display of creativity and fun!
