SUMMER MORNINGS PROGRAM

Kids ages 6 and up

Summer at VEME Studio is a hands-on art adventure for kids ages 6 and up! Each week we explore a fun, creative theme — from Outer Space and Modern Art to Treasure Worlds and Mythical Creatures — using a variety of art materials like clay, paint, collage, printmaking, and mixed media. Our program encourages imagination, artistic growth, and self-expression through projects that build skills and confidence.

Whether your child wants to sculpt, paint, build, or invent, they’ll find playful challenges and supportive guidance at every turn. Join us this summer for art, exploration, and creative friendships!

WEEK 1- Monday June 29th- Friday July 3rd 

WEEK 2-Monday July 12th -Friday July 17th

WEEK 3- Monday July 27th -Friday  July 31st

WEEK4- Monday August 10th- Friday  August 14th

WEEK5- Monday August 24th- Friday  August 28th SOLD OUT!

To book a week, please select the first Monday of the week and it will apply for the whole week. (example select Monday July 12th  and it will apply for the whole week of attendance)

Class Starts at 9:30am (Drop off 9.20-9.30AM)

Class finish at 12:30pm

Register early: enrollment is limited to 10 students.

• Kids 6-13 years old
• Nurture creativity and freedom of expression
• Develop creative skills, different mediums including painting, drawing, collage and more.
• Every day Sketchbook practice
• All materials included
• No food included, please send your kids a snack.
• Please dress kids appropriately as we will be using paint.
• Every day we will start with a short stretching and mindfulness practice.
• Part of the class will be held outside if weather permits.
• Reflection on the process and skills learned throughout the week.

 

Please note: Our workshops are designed for children ages 6 and up. We kindly ask that you refrain from registering younger children. Participants under the age minimum cannot be accepted into class, and tuition will be forfeited. Thank you for helping us keep the experience safe, supportive, and developmentally aligned for all artists!

We pride ourselves on giving a personalized attention in a safe inclusive space, allowing them to be themselves and express their emotions and views of the world. If kids have a particular interest we will accommodate the themes of the class for them.

IMPORTANT

Workshops are Non-Refundable. 

By booking, you are signing up for the entire week long program. We are unable to rebook or refund your payment for failing to attend or missing a day. If you’re unable to make it, workshops are transferable to friends and family. Please reach out so we can change the name on the reservation. Thank you!

WEEK 1-  Monday June 29th- Friday July 3rd  -Outer Space & Beyond

Monday June 29 - Painting the universe and planets. MIxed media.

Tuesday June 30th - Build a world no one has ever seen. Shading and landscape.

Wednesday July 1st- Air Dry Clay Alien. 

Thursday July 2nd- Build rockets, spacecraft, etc. with upcycle material.

Friday July 3rd- Turn a shoebox into a mini space scene.

WEEK 2-Monday July 12th -Friday July 17th -Modern Cubism + POP Art

Monday July 12th - Color Theory- Color wheel with Acrylics. Color grid. Painting using skills learned.

Tuesday July 13th- Cubism, collage and Pottery Masks.

Wednesday July 14th-Drip Paint, Pollock Inspired. Create your own comic book.

Thursday July 15th- Screen + block printing Create a mixed media flag. (continue comic book)

Friday July 16th- Final project using skills learned, free theme within POP ART style. From Concept to realization.

WEEK 3- Monday July 27th -Friday  July 31st-Treasure Hunters 

Monday July 27th - Create an Ancient Map, tea staining, watercolors and markers.

Tuesday July 28th - Air dry Clay Relics & Upcycle Artifact Sculpting

Wednesday July 29th - Mythical Creature Collage & paint

Thursday July 30th -Create a Secret Alphabet, write a story or message.

Friday July 31st- Create treasure chest, message on bottle to release in nature.

WEEK4- Monday August 12th- Friday  August 16th- BOTANICALS

Monday  August 12th - Making our own colors with fruits and leaves. Create a color swatch.

Tuesday  August 13th - Stamping with flowers and leaves. Flower press on air dry clay.

Wednesday  August 14th- Drawing and coloring flowers and plants with watercolor- Watercolor basics.

Thursday  August 15th- Cyanotype. Creating blue prints on paper and fabric with Cyanotipe.

Friday  August 16th-Painting Sunflowers, from observation, sketching to painting.

 

WEEK5- Monday August 24th- Friday  August 28th- FINALS  SOLD OUT!

Most liked classes will be repeated based on students attendance and preferences.

Every day there will be time at the beginning for stretching and self assessment. Each Student will have a sketchbook where to log their progress and practice after projects are done.
