VEME Studios is proud to announce the release of Painting Vintage Volume 2, the newest edition of the beloved interactive art book created by artists Verona Peñalba and Melissa Flotteron.

Following the success of the first Painting Vintage release — Volume 2 continues the studio’s unique approach to creativity by transforming vintage photography into an open canvas for artistic expression.

Rather than traditional coloring pages, Painting Vintage invites people to paint, draw, collage, and experiment directly onto curated black-and-white vintage photographs all founf in the North Fork of Long Island. The project encourages participants to “color outside the lines,” embracing freedom, imagination, and personal interpretation through art. The second volume expands on that vision with a new collection of carefully selected imagery designed to inspire creativity across all ages and skill levels.

The launch celebration will take place on Thursday, June 4th at 5:30 PM at The Shoals. Guests are invited to gather for an evening of art, community, conversation, and celebration along the waterfront.

Attendees will enjoy a complimentary glass of wine sponsored by RGNY Wine and James Lane Post. The food truck and bar at The Shoals will also be open throughout the evening.

Founded by artists Verona Peñalba and Melissa Flotteron, VEME Studios has become a creative hub on the North Fork, known for its workshops, community art experiences, pop-ups, and collaborative projects that encourage people to reconnect with creativity in an approachable and joyful way.
